Stop what you’re doing and get ready for a totally yummy experience, all thanks to this delicious list of the best French restaurants in Perth. Modern styles, traditional techniques and impressive wine lists to match. These restaurants showcase Parisian and regional French cuisine in all its glory.

Yes Yes Yes !

1. Bistro La P’tite Ardois

Full of charm, the P’tite Ardois Bistro in Perth is like a breath of Parisian air from yesteryear.

Tables and chairs put together so tightly that you become friends with your neighboring diners. Fresh bread that you should never refuse. It has vibrancy and whimsy, and the food is classic in all the right ways.

The steak tartare is magnificent, the snails in garlic and delicious. And the chocolate fondant, a decadent dream.

2. The rebel

Ooh la la we have a crush and it’s on Mount Lawley’s Le Rebelle.

This owner-operator bistro exudes intimacy, fun times, and nostalgia — while having a total Rockstar feel. Spanning three narrow levels, this is a neighborhood restaurant and wine bar with a difference. The food has gained national recognition thanks to dishes like their famous crab toast (if they dared to take it off the menu, we think Perth could have a real meltdown) and their very impressive drinks list too.

Whether you’re looking for the steak tartare or the oh-so-French boudin blanc, or something a little more new age, you’ll be sure to find it at this romantic spot.

3. Mistelle

Located in the beautiful Bickley Valley, Mistelle is a small French restaurant overlooking the Hainault vineyard.

This is the very essence of a French country bistro: focusing on being approachable and delicious while using local produce from Western Australia. There’s a seasonal menu and some pretty exciting things like their Monday test kitchen which gives them the opportunity to experiment with new recipes at a very reasonable price of $50 per person.

But their standard menu is equally exciting, with incredible dishes like their duck leg confit with braised cabbage, smoked salmon with apple, cucumber and horseradish and Alaskan lemon bomb.

Enjoy your lunch!

4. The Angel’s House

Cozy up in the dining room or take to the air with your French cuisine in the garden or on the veranda of Angel’s House in Fremantle.

Located in a heritage building from 1880, these guys really know how to showcase their French culinary skills in the most impressive way. Feast on dishes like onion soup, double cheese soufflé, escargot and bouf bourguignon.

This is honestly a beautiful restaurant, and you will tell all your friends and family about it.

5. At Pierre’s place

Fine French cuisine is easily associated with Chez Pierre on Stirling Highway in Nedlands.

First opening in 2007, Chef Pierre studied cooking at Le Cordon Bleu in France, which is evident in the dishes with which this place continues to impress diners to this day. Plump Shark Bay scallops with cauliflower fricassee, seafood crepe or foie gras prepared two ways.

The menu is varied but steeped in tradition, with French roots respected at every step.

6. Bistro Guillaume

Bistro Guillaume is located at Crown Perth, next to the casino with the other dining options.

Overlooking the pool, this is a quaint provincial dining spot to sit back with a glass of champagne while savoring all the venue has to offer. We take the opportunity to rave about their profiteroles with vanilla bean ice cream and warm chocolate sauce (yes oh yes).

Or their spectacular soufflés that occasionally change flavor from passion fruit to cherry to other seasonal delights. And don’t forget their Paris mash which is buttery, silky and so decadent it becomes the new potato staple in your life.

seven. French accent

A French restaurant concept in Mount Lawley, French Accent combines its namesake cuisine with an interactive experience to truly engage your five senses in the dining process.

The menu is carefully crafted with a scientific angle, which means seemingly simple dishes like pea and ham soup surprise you by coming to the table in a smoked box with bacon to enhance the whole flavor profile.

It’s a bit of fun and something different from the normal French offering.
